Sat chit anand
Experiencing Shoonya
On the banks of the Ganges, one day, I sat in a prayer posture. The sun was about to appear on the distant horizon. Devotees were taking dips in the holy water. The chants of Om Namah Shivay along with the usual bells from the near-by temples were filling the air to create a very unique and divine atmosphere. There was fragrance of the freshness of the morning as flowers were being offered in the welcome of the rising sun.
Imagine, how the mere awareness consumes you!
You are sitting in the tranquility of the early morning on the bank of Ganges. Fresh air is rustling past your body and passing through your nostrils. You are consumed by the soothing sound and the anticipated embrace of the first light of sun.
You seem touched by divinity!
Your eyes slowly begin to close ‘cause you do not wish this moment to pass. You want to capture it for ever.
The sound of stillness.
A complete silence consumes your very existence. Everything that you know disappears, completely. The images of the rising sun and the Ganges, suddenly, are gone.
Galaxies begin gliding past you soundlessly . The stillness fades into a continuous hummm.
You no longer smell the air. You cease to feel the presence of your body. There is no warning when strage things begin to happen.
Suddenly, the sky begins to contract and the cosmos begins to shrink. Galaxies seem colliding with the other galaxies and collapsing inside enormous dark matter. Silent, yet, thunderous and deafening sound seems wrapped around the unbelievable phenomenon.
Oceans of clouds and lights and sound and matter begin dissolving in your very existence. The phenomena, that could only be eternal, accelerates to an infinite speed.
The infinite mass of matter and energy getting consumed inside your existence, fills you with a divine feeling of goodness, well being and bliss. Atoms and electrons are dancing and bowing to you before entering your non present body. The latent fear is exorcised as “I” begins to completely non-exist.
“I” is no more. Cosmos is no more. Spirit is no more. God is no more.
Yet I am.
I am for I am the Shoonya,
the Sat chit anand.
