Banaras, A Mystic Love Story
Banaras is not a destination its a journey of our lives. If you go to watch this movie for a ready-made solution or only to "kill" two hours, you may get disappointed. Banaras is aimed to create a thirst for something one is generally uncomfortable to explore.

Dear LC
Each time I watch the film, I understand something more and deep.
Guess, it will take me some more time to understand some of the profound stuff that you have scattered all through the film.
Cheers

all the characters that played spiritual roles, displayed a certain scerenity. this is amazing. including the small girl who plays young shwetambari. one can feel the devotion in the song dedicated to shiva.
The cinematography was brilliant. The movie was exellent. Full of wonder and depth.
There remained one minor flaw. If the baba died thousands of years ago, why was his "photograph" hanging above his statue. There was no "photography" thousands of years ago.
Dear Anonymous,
I am glad you raised this point because this point was mentioned even in the review of Khalid Mohammad in DNA.
To clarify the matter, let me state that it was not a photograph but a painting done by a faculty member from the Fine Arts faculty of BHU. In fact the statue as well as the picture, both were created by them.
I think we should compliment the artists who obviously did such a wonderful job.
